Five Best Exercise Machines To Lose Weight

29/07/2019 by Adam

Gym machines were invented to help people reach their ideal weight and body goals, but many experts believe that most gym machines were created to just exercise one muscle group or body at a time. This doesn’t sound too bad, but being pressed for time (and results) can leave most gym-goers to simply use free weights or do bodyweight exercises.

While it looks like they’re built to suit every body type, gym machines are notoriously far from being foolproof, especially when you use them the wrong way. You could possibly sustain an injury and letting this happen can deter your progress.

However, there are five machines that are worth looking into before you swear them off for good. Try these machines the next time you hit the gym:

  1. Treadmill– one of the most popular gym machines, the treadmill is often the go-to for most gym-goers as it can accommodate any fitness goal and level. It simulates walking and running, two of the most caloric-busting exercises out there. To make the treadmill an even more effective tool in weight loss, don’t hold the side handles. The treadmill boasts many features. Its speed and inclination can easily be adjusted, intensifying your work out. The treadmill is a cardio-focus machine; it is common knowledge that in order to lose weight, cardio is the best way to do it. What’s also amazing with the treadmill is that it can be found in all gyms so whenever you crave for a quick cardio workout, you’re sure to find a treadmill at a gym near you.

  1. Elliptical machines– With interval training, the elliptical machine is an awesome tool in weight loss. Being a staple in most gyms, watch out for the latest models where touch screen consoles give a person the option to do the latest fitness trend, a high-intensity interval training (HIIT). The newer models give you the flexibility to go from full-on workout to a more moderate or light pace with just a simple adjustment on the screen.

  1. Rowing machines– Rowing machines are slowly making its way into almost everyone’s fitness regimen thanks to the whole body workout it gives. Most people used to think that with the rowing machine, you’re only working out your arms and legs. You are, in fact, using up to 80% of your muscle mass. As your body undergoes a wide range of motion, weight loss isn’t far from reach. The rowing machine was once ignored by many gym buffs but with its sudden popularity, people are now claiming that this machine is a hot new trend.

  1. Stepmill by Stairmaster– Similar to a treadmill in such a way that it mimics everyday actions, the Stepmill simulates the motion of going up a flight of stairs. As opposed to a regular Stairmaster where your feet are planted on the machine, the Stepmill’s steps are in constant motion, forcing you to be intently concentrated on the workout. Going against gravity and actually lifting your feet off the ground (as if you’re really climbing stairs) makes this machine a caloric busting one.

  1. Group cycling bikes– Different from a stationary bike, a group cycling bike can be found in cycling classes. Join a spinning class or simply use one solo; it doesn’t matter. These bikes were created to be able to adjust certain parts of it like the height of the seat, handlebar height and handlebar fore and aft position, and the saddle fore and aft position. Since these can be tailored fit to your body and position, your workout is guaranteed to be more comfortable, making you stay longer on the machine. A longer workout accounts for more caloric loss so adding this machine to your workout regimen will help you lose more weight.

No matter your fitness level, these five gym machines are great at helping you lose weight. As with any exercise or regime, make sure to get the assistance of a personal trainer to lessen the chances of getting injured. When considering a gym membership you’ll be glad to know that there are gyms like Rec Xpress that you can join which don’t require a contract to do so.

Losing weight doesn’t have to be so hard with these five machines. If there’s one thing that they have in common, it’s that they aren’t too complicated to use. Inserting them into your routine will be a breeze.
