Today’s exercise is similar to Sit-ups as it also works your core and ab muscles. It is another useful exercise if you don’t have a gym membership or prefer to just work out alone in your place. All that’s required is a mat (for some cushioning!).
It’s a useful exercise to do when the adverts of a TV show you like come on, instead of sitting there and allowing the various advertisers and their products absorb your interest, get something out of the 3 minute opportunity you’ve just been given.
To do this exercise, lie on your back with your hands behind your head or on your neck for placement. Your legs should be straight with your knees slightly bent.
Start the exercise by inhaling through your nose and raise your shoulders off the ground and bring your knees and head toward each other by crunching your body. Breathe out through your mouth as you finish the movement. Repeat the movement as much as possible.
If you’re doing it during the ad breaks, do as many as you can and break if you need to for 5-10 seconds before starting again.
If you get into the habit of incorporating exercise into a normal routine, such as watching TV, you will get through so many repetitions before you know it and you’ll start noticing the changes too.
