Since I returned from Majorca my life has become a huge merry-go-round of building the website, posting daily, continuing to attend the gym, continuing to eat right and trying to keep on finding new recipes and attempt them. Oh ye, and I’ve got my full time job as well!
Although I’ve attended a regular amount of gym sessions, maybe 4 per week over the last 3 weeks, some of the sessions could have perhaps been completed better. I’m putting this down to a slight change in my circumstances (see above!) however the important thing is to recognise exactly where improvement can be made and correct it.
Maybe I am being a little hard on myself, I mean most people would be very pleased going to the gym 4 times per week; however it’s not about the attendance but your actions when you get to the gym. It would be better to go 3 times and work exceptionally hard, than go 5 times and go through the motions (not that I’ll be admitting to that!).
I don’t believe my diet has suffered too much since returning from Majorca. There have been a few meals out and a few scoops of ice cream here and there but I’m confident this won’t affect my overall goal. In fact, that’s just reminded me, I need to do a weigh-in before posting this, one sec!
Ok well for the 22nd August 2014 I currently weigh 129.9lbs with a body fat percentage of 8.9%. It’s not the best reading in terms of body fat. The last reading was taken on the 14th July, about a month ago, it showed ‘131.2lbs & 6.2%BF‘ – this tells me I’ve lost weight but in muscle not fat. The goal is to return to that previous reading in 2 weeks’ time (5th September 2014).
To correct this I need to consume more protein by ensuring I have a protein drink each day, whether I have a gym session or not, as well as roasting more chicken for my lunches. This goes a long way if I’m able to consume half a chicken 4-5 times per week rather than 2 sandwiches with a little meat in each per day. I’ll also try to stay away from the crumpets and jam (which I do love!) as well as other negative foods.
What are your goals? How do you plan on achieving them? I’d be interested in hearing them.
