This year I plan to publish many more healthy snack-type recipes on the blog, as I often find myself hungry about an hour after I’ve had my last meal. So I rummage through the cupboards and end up giving in to the hunger that often overtakes me. Thankfully as I make a conscious effort not to keep unhealthy snacks on standby, I’ll often find a healthier alternative i.e. a smoothie!
This is why I’m now keeping more fruit in the house and this Blueberry Honey Smoothie is made up of items that you’re likely to have in stock anyway.
Blueberries can be frozen if you want to use them but don’t know exactly when, whilst yoghurt is a great alternative to crisps, chocolate and other ‘go-to’ snacks, so it’s worth keeping that refrigerated.
I hope you get the opportunity to test out this great smoothie. Not only is it delicious but full of fibre which will keep you fuller for longer. Enjoy!
Serves 1 | Prep 5 Mins
100g Blueberries
1 Banana
3 tablespoons Honey
5 tablespoons Natural Yoghurt
Place all of the ingredients into a blender and blend on a low setting for about 15 seconds.
Check the mixture is smooth and if so, serve right away or keep chilled for a few hours.
