- Making A Vinaigrette – Making a vinaigrette seems relatively easy, but you’ll need to know what you’re doing to make sure it’s nice. It isn’t just as simple as adding some oil to your salad. You’ll need to use the right oil, and a three-to-one rule is best followed when you’re doing this.
- Deglazing A Pan – There’ll come a few points where you’ll need to deglaze a pan to make a sauce. Thankfully, this is much easier than you’d think. Most of the time, it only takes a few minutes and you can get to making your sauce. All you’ll really need to do for this is use the right liquid and let it heat up a little bit. You’ll even add a little extra flavor to your sauce by doing so.
- Cracking & Cooking An Egg – Cooking an egg is one of the more basic but essential cooking skills you should know. Despite the various ways you can cook it, it’ll be much easier than you could’ve thought. Whether you’re frying them or scrambling them, it’ll be easier than you’d expect. Make sure you crack them right, though, which might take a bit of practice.
- Whipping Cream & Eggs – Speaking of eggs, it’s also worth learning how to whip them up, something you’ll also need to learn with cream. Combining these can be great, and you can enhance your dishes with the resulting combination. It’s worth noting that eggs are better whipped at a slightly warmer temperature than cream, especially if it’s thick. Once you’ve done this a few times, you’ll have no problem mastering it.
