Why CBD Coffee Could Be So Good For You

18/03/2020 by Adam

Cannabis is enjoying greater popularity across the globe than ever before, which has led to a drastic increase in the amount of CBD products available to the average consumer. Many everyday consumers are still deeply unfamiliar with cannabis and CBD products in general, however, and have little to no idea where to begin when it comes to determining the legitimacy of CBD oils, gummies, and new products like CBD coffee.

As it turns out, many of these products are catching on for a reason. Here’s why CBD coffee could be so good for you, and why companies are vying to establish themselves in what could be a fast-budding market.

What is CBD coffee?

Most people are familiar with cannabis – commonly labeled marijuana – and the psychoactive effects which can be garnered by consuming THC-laden products. Fewer consumers are aware of CBD, however, another cannabinoid derived from cannabis which is beloved by an ever-growing class of patients and recreational users alike. Unlike THC, CBD doesn’t generative psychoactive effects which make users feel “high,” but rather tends to relax users and soothe nausea, pain, and other unpleasant conditions.

CBD coffee is as straightforward as its name implies – it’s a traditional cup of joe with one twist, it’s CBD infused, meaning it can generate a push-pull effect of energizing and waking users up while simultaneously keeping them from getting too buzzed and caffeinated at once. A recent survey found that more than a quarter of people in the U.S. have tried CBD products before, meaning that CBD coffee and related products are likely to blossom in popularity sooner rather than later.

CBD coffee is but one form of CBD, which can be consumed in a variety of ways – hard pills, oils, topical lotions, and edible goodies can all be infused with CBD to provide medical effects to users who consume them. In recent years, electronic products have become particularly popular with consumers, with newly-emerging delicacies like CBD coffee beginning to also draw notice.

Popular country music icon Willie Nelson, a popular celebrity and major figure in cannabis culture, has even debuted his own CBD-infused coffee brand. Other celebrities have followed suit, launching product chains centered around their pre-existing brands to bolster sales.

Is CBD coffee worth it?

Most CBD coffee is created by taking regular coffee beans and coating them in CBD oil after roasting them normally. The CBD becomes infused in the beans, in the same way its absorbed by the body. but it’s important to note that regulations for CBD products and CBD food and drinks, specifically, are still virtually non-existent in certain parts of the world. Consumers should always exercise caution when consuming even legitimate CBD products, as dosing can be hard to determine, particularly for inexperienced users foraying into the CBD market for the first time.

The FDA is quickly moving towards regulating the CBD market more thoroughly, however, rendering CBD science a more tantalizing product by the day. articularly as we learn more about the cannabinoids and their distinctions. For example, Cibdol published an interesting article on the difference between CBD and CBDA. CBD coffee will doubtlessly become a popular fixture sooner rather than later, particularly once the FDA gives it the thumbs-up. In the meantime, consumers should be aware that CBD generally mitigates anxiety, dulls minor pain, and can reduce both seizures and inflammation in certain users. Every individual reacts to CBD differently, however, and curious individuals shouldn’t hesitate to broach their concerns to a medical professional they’re comfortable with.

CBD coffee could be the next big wellness product, particularly if it follows through on its promise to energize consumers without making them shaky, over-caffeinated, and anxious. The CBD market is still nascent and devoid of many important regulations, however, so don’t expect CBD coffee to become widely available until the FDA legitimizes the market to a greater extent.
