The 4 Hardest Places On The Body To Burn Fat

01/07/2021 by Adam

Losing weight, in general, is hard enough but burning fat in specific areas is even more difficult. Many people find it hard to stay motivated because, even though they are losing weight, they are not seeing a change in the areas that they want to target the most, so it doesn’t feel like they are meeting their fitness goals.

Everybody stores fat differently depending on the hormone levels in their body. As you get older and your hormone levels change, you may notice that you have more fat in certain areas. However, there are some areas where most people find it difficult to get results. These are the hardest areas of the body to burn fat.

Lower Abdominals

In most people, the lower abdominals are the first place where fat is stored when you gain weight and the last place that you lose it. If you have a lot of stubborn fat around this area, you need to do specific exercises to target belly fat, like ab exercises. You should also add plenty of cardio to your routine because that is the most effective way to get rid of extra weight around the belly. Make sure that you change your diet too because reducing your calorie intake will make a huge difference, especially when combined with targeted exercise.

Chest

This one is particularly problematic for men. Many men find that, as they get older, they develop fatty deposits on the chest, usually referred to as man boobs. You can find some great tips for getting rid of excess fat on the chest here >, and it mainly involves doing strength exercises for the chest and arms. Cardio is important too because it will help you reduce your overall fat levels, but specifically targeting the muscles will help you tone the area a lot faster.

Thighs

A lot of people have excess fat around their thighs, but the good news is, this is where the largest muscles in your body are. That means you can burn that fat by working those muscles and toning up. Simple exercises like squats are perfect for burning fat around the thighs, and running can be effective too. You can find a great video on proper squat form here. The great thing about doing strength exercises for your thighs is that most of them involve tightening your core, so you will tone up your belly at the same time.

Arms

Women, in particular, find it difficult to burn fat from their arms. It’s a little easier for men because their high levels of testosterone make it easier to build muscle in these areas. However, as they get older, men will also find it increasingly difficult to burn fat on their arms. The key to getting rid of fat on the arms is turning it into muscle. So, focus on strength exercises that target the biceps, triceps, and shoulders.

It can be disheartening when there are areas of stubborn fat that just won’t shift. However, if you target these specific areas and build your workouts in the right way, you will see the results that you want.
