Tea is such a staple of many people’s lives, but there is more to tea than just putting some milk in it or having a biscuit with it. There are so many health benefits to tea that you don’t even realise, whether it be a white jong kong kratom blend, or even just a humble cup of white tea. Tea is prevalent in many cultures for many reasons. It is integrated within so many cultures and even the preparation can be an integral part of the experience. From tea ceremonies to just putting the kettle on before a commercial break. Tea is wonderful due to the fact that there is very minimal preparation in comparison to most health drinks. If you’re not a big tea drinker, maybe try one of these and see what it does for you.

Green Tea

A common go-to drink for the spiritually enlightened! The health benefits of green tea are numerous. From the benefits of green tea being able to speed up your metabolism to the positive effect it can have on your eye and heart health, it’s not surprising how popular it is. Online tea shops such as Kenko Tea have a variety of Japanese green teas known as matcha on offer, including ceremonial grade and culinary grade, which are used for two distinct purposes, thus highlighting the versatility of green tea. In addition to the huge amount of antioxidants found naturally in green tea, it also contains the amino acid L-Theanine, a caffiene that is proven to help relax you. Having this, combined with a mindfulness technique like meditation will work wonders for your health. There are many different types to go for, but my preferred choice is Geido Matcha.

Peppermint Tea

A wonderful way to relieve indigestion due to the menthol it contains, it is a great way to digest after a large meal. Other benefits include helping to aid anxiety and stress, having a cup before bedtime is a great way to relax after a long day. Some opt to take some CBD oil (like that here) before sipping on a cuppa because of this. Peppermint tea is also an appetite suppressant, so if you are looking to lose weight, try a cup in the morning. It has also been a great aid for people with IBS. So, if you are one of the unlucky few, try and drink a cup before each meal.

White Tea

It’s not tea with milk in it! The benefits of white tea include quite possibly being beneficial in preventing cancers, due to the high amount of antioxidants it contains. While this is not an effective replacement for any cancer therapy, having a high amount of antioxidants will do wonders for anybody’s health. White tea is used in many products like hand soap, due to its effect on the skin, and can help with the negative effects of UV light.

Black Tea

As with the teas above, there is a high amount of antioxidants in black tea, but it can also help reduce plaque formation and prevent the growth of bacteria than can cause tooth decay. It is also suggested that the phytochemicals found in tea can help prevent bone conditions like arthritis. It is a tool in the ongoing battle against diabetes. Based on a study conducted on elderly people living in the Mediterranean, the people that had consumed black tea on a long-term basis moderately had a 70% lower chance of developing or having type 2 diabetes. So, get the kettle on!
