[ RECIPE ] Summertime Pimms

24/07/2015 by Adam

pimms

For those very few days of sunshine we actually get here in the UK, I think it’s crucial for us all to make the most of it. Starting with the right drinks to keep us hydrated, but also to enjoy. A cider with lots of ice or an ice-cold beer are great and very refreshing but for those who are new to the taste of Pimms, this is a drink that you’ve got to become familiar with!

Up until recently I was unfamiliar with the taste and decided to see what the fuss was about. I wasn’t disappointed and after a little experimenting with the flavours, I came up with my own version of the cocktail ‘Summertime Pimms’.

Not only is the cocktail a delicious blend of flavours, it’s also a type of Fruit Punch with plenty of ‘alcohol-absorbed’ fruit, if you fancy a more-enticing fruit salad later on!

I hope you enjoy this alcoholic delight and hope we get plenty more opportunity to drink together in this unpredictable UK sunshine! Enjoy!

250ml Classic Pimms
750ml Cloudy Lemonade
25ml Elderflower Cordial
Strawberries (halved)
Fresh Mint Leaves (stalks removed)
1 Orange (sliced)
1/2 Mango (peeled & sliced)

1 Cucumber (sliced)

Mix the ingredients together in a large jug along with fresh ice, serve immediately and drink responsibly!
