Smoothie Boosters

08/06/2020 by Adam

A Look at Some Great Smoothie Boosters

Smoothies are drinks prepared out of pulped raw fruit with the addition of vegetables, or even made from vegetables alone. This is usually done with the aid of a blender. They are usually prepared using liquids as a base; liquids such as fruit juice, water, plant milk and dairy products like milk or yoghurt. In making them, some other ingredients other than those listed could also be used. Sweeteners, sugar, honey, syrup, crushed ice, nuts and nuts butter, whey powder, chocolate, tea, seeds, herbal supplements and nutritional supplements are some other ingredients that can be used. These are called boosters!

When smoothies use dairy milk as base, it is often similar to milkshakes. Smoothies, when compared to fruit juices, are often thicker. In this, they have a feel comparable to milkshakes. They often have dietary fiber because they are usually made from vegetables or/and raw fruits. Smoothies, especially when they are green smoothies made from vegetables, are often marketed as health boosters. This is often done with the claim that they are better for your health than milkshakes.

Why You May Need To Boost Your Smoothie

When making your smoothie, you may desire to enhance the value of your puree. To do this, you will need to include additives known more as boosters. Your booster adds to your preparation other values that are absent or little in your smoothie. The list of what you can use as a booster is really wide, but they are likely things you have had in mind or expect the booster to bring to your smoothie table. Some values boosters are expected to add are these:

  • Protein
  • Fiber
  • Sweetening
  • Weight loss agents
  • Mineral and Vitamins supplements
  • Energy boosters

There are a number of ingredients that could be added to beef up your smoothie with any of the properties above. Some of the ingredients and what value they bring, are mentioned below.

Açai Berries

These are super boosters with a Brazilian origin. However, you can find them today almost anywhere, especially in cold stores marketing health foods. Flavonoids and anthocyanins are some of the powerful antioxidants packed within these berries. As a result of this, they are very helpful in fighting cancers and promoting a healthy skin. A good intake of Acai berries is believed to be helpful in subduing free radicals within the body. These berries are also said to reduce blood pressure and cholesterol due to the presence of plant sterols in their makeup. Additionally, because they parade a fiber content that is deemed high, it is beneficial for those desirous of weight loss. To get the best of them with regards to taste, pair them with spinach and coconut water.

Flaxseed Oil

This oil is equally known as linseed oil. It is rich in the fatty acid known as Omega-3. It is also known for other nutrients like vitamin E. A teaspoon added to your smoothie is all you need to glean these benefits.

Cacao Nibs and Cocoa Powder

Both cacao and cocoa are helpful in bringing about improved circulation and a release of endorphins and serotonin which leave a feel-good mood. They are packed with minerals and essential fats which include magnesium, zinc, calcium, sulfur, and iron.

Whey Protein

It is said to have anti-inflammatory and anti-cancer properties as well as being useful for weight loss programs. It has been said to aid in the reduction of blood pressure, high cholesterol and even the reduction of asthma symptoms.

Spirulina

This is a bluish-green algae that is packed with nutrients. Free-radicals fighting antioxidants, minerals, carotenoids, and vitamins are some of what it boasts of. It is beta-carotene rich which makes it a huge plus in preventing ageing and in preventing cancer. Boasting of a rich supply of vitamin B12, it shows value in preventing infection, cleansing the system, lowering blood pressure and reducing bad cholesterol. Spirulina is also known to boost stamina, whether in the bedroom or in the gym.

In Conclusion

There are lots of stores where you can get the boosters you want, even if you want natural boosters like Blender Bombs Smoothie boosters. There are so many ways that you can use to boost your smoothie. Once again, it all depends on what you want to achieve with your smoothie. It always comes down on what you prefer. Like finding the right blend for your taste and what you think your body needs over all.

So, whether your intentions are to raise your energy level, spice up your sex life, fight ageing, promote relaxation, work on your body mass, and so much more, boosters can help you reach your goal.
