Slendertone Abs Trial – Introduction

27/09/2014 by Adam

I was recently contacted by a PR representative asking if I’d like to trial one of their Slendertone products. At first I wasn’t sure if I wanted the blog to include product reviews and what my opinion is of them, however if I can help a few people in deciding whether a product may be suitable or not before parting with their cash, what’s the harm?

I agreed to take on the trial on the condition that what I posted would be completely objective and of my own honest opinion from start to finish, which they agreed to. They gave me the choice between a product for the Abs or for the Arms. I went with the Abs.

Having had no real experience in this area before, I was unsure as to how efficient and professional the process would actually be, however I was pleasantly surprised. The PR told me the product would be with me by Wednesday and guess what? Wednesday it was delivered.

The on-time delivery automaticaly put me on-side with Slendertone. As you’ll know yourselves, there’s nothing more frustrating than when a company (or representative) tells you one thing and does another. So without even testing the product, it gave me the impression that if you do part with your cash, they’ll deliver on their promises.

Before being asked, I knew very little about how these products work, other than they used electrical impulses in some way to stimulate your muscles and make them look more toned. Whether this actually worked or not, I am still quite skeptical. The products remind me of something you’d find on a super long commerical, on late night TV!

I’d always believed (and at present still do) that the best way to tone is at the gym, working on your core, compound movements and specific abdominal exercises, however I am open to this type of product, especially from what others are saying. Whether that’s clever marketing or genuine opinion remains to be seen. I guess I’ll make up my own mind!

Within the next few weeks I’ll give you regular updates on the product, including:-

– First Impressions
– Inside The Box

– Weekly Progress
– The Effects
– My Conclusions

As well as weekly photos of the potential progress!

So stay tuned for the first product trial @ Food & Fitness Always
