It doesn’t matter whether you are a struggling college student trying to pass her exams or a mother frantically trying to make her ten years old learn algebraic formulas, if you seek to know how to increase a brain’s capacity to memorize, you are in the right place. Today we are going to talk about how supplementing your body with the right foods can lead to an increase in your memory. There are certain foods that can play the role of a memory booster if you add them to your diet. Some of these foods are:

  1. Nutty Wellness

If you are looking for a delicious way to improve your memory, snacking could be it. I know that made you extremely happy because munching on snacks while you study for your exams could provide solace and motherly comfort. But the point is, are you choosing the right snack? Nuts like almonds are full of vitamin E and various other minerals and vitamins, and they could easily supplement your brain with all the elements needed to keep your memory on track. Another amazing nut to improve your brain health is walnuts.

  1. Black Coffee

While coffee can take some toll on your health by aiding diabetes, which entirely depends on the amount of creamer and sugar you douse in your coffee; it can prove to be extremely beneficial for the brain if consumed without these… frivolous accessories, as I like to call them. A lot of studies have shown that coffee can help prevent age-related brain disorders such as Alzheimer’s and dementia, and all these disorders have the major symptom of a loss of memory. A latte is better than a creamy cappuccino, just remember that. You can also consider marijuana for food if you want to stay active during exams, hash brownies can be the perfect solution, read this article here.

  1. Egg Proteins

One of my favorite sources of having protein is an egg! If you’re skipping on the bright, sunny yolks of the egg because of dietary reasons, I suggest that you stop doing that. Instead, try to procure organic eggs. While eggs can be great for your overall body, they also supplement your brain. It is best to give soft-boiled eggs to kids when they are little. It plays a great role in their brain’s development. It could be a great lunch option accompanied with some guacamole and salad.

  1. Berries

Berries are an excellent source of loading up on your antioxidants supply. While it is hard to relate antioxidants to your memory, the correlation is quite simple. When we have enough antioxidants in our bodies, we tend to feel less stressed. This causes less damage to our neurons. It also improves the capability to learn. This property is not particular to just blueberries. Instead, it covers all kinds of berries. So munch on strawberries while you’re bored and watching a 90s film, I’m sure it will help your brain. Read more about healthy foods here.

  1. Fish

Another delicious food that can be great for the brain is fish. And in fish, salmon can be particularly good for your health in many different ways. Other fish that are great for health are sardines and fresh lake trout. Generally, all the fish are loaded with omega-3 fatty acids. People who are not a great fan of fish are recommended to at least use the fish oil. The omega 3 fatty acids that are found in fish also have anti-inflammatory properties. Therefore, they aid with the functioning of the brain.

  1. Greek Yogurt

Another amazing food for the brain is Greek yogurt. While plain yogurt is great for health, but the reason I suggest Greek yogurt is because it is great for everyone’s dietary needs and doesn’t seem to have any side effects. You can Greek yogurt on its own, with some fruit, or even granola. Greek Yogurt is another one of the foods that are used to alleviate stress. We have already concluded that removing stress from your routine can be especially beneficial for the memory. The probiotics in Greek Yogurt can also prevent dementia. Even if you don’t like Greek yogurt, it is wise to include it in your routine.

  1. Goat Brain

Our brains have a myelin sheath in them which is composed of healthy fats. This sheath allows for the conductance of signals through our neurons. So as I have explained earlier, the consumption of various proteins and fats can lead to the development of the brain. Animal’s brain tends to be composed of this myelin sheath, and therefore; its consumption can definitely lead to an increase in this compound which is helpful for the development of the brain.

These are just a few foods that can help with the improving our memory. Other ways to increase your memory is avoiding LED lights, sleeping early and getting sleep of minimum six to eight hours, and maintaining an overall healthy lifestyle.
