Set Your Health And Fitness Goals For The New Year Now

If you have a specific health and fitness goal that you’re looking to set for yourself for the New Year, then why not start planning ahead now so that you’re fully prepared and can start the New Year off the way you mean to go on?

Many times people set their goals for the New Year on December 31st, and by the time January 4th rolls around, they seem to have forgotten about the goals they set for themselves, or other things just got in the way that prevented them from taking the needed action to make it happen.

If you’re serious about your fitness goals, then you really need to start taking the action that will make it happen, and that means starting to plan now.

You also need to know what you can commit to each day, so that you can schedule it in and take the daily actions you need to achieve your goals that you’ve set.

So, take some time now and list  out all of your health and fitness goals for the next year, then list the things that you may need to change in order to actually make it easier for this to happen, things such as diet and lifestyle changes you may need to make.

Then create yourself a fitness plan so that you know what exactly you are going to be doing so, if you decide you are you going to go to the gym each day, or you’re going to go once per week.

It honestly doesn’t matter how often you go, but as long as you set yourself a target that you know that you can stick to, and then you can work within that.

You also have to set the intention of  knowing that you’re going to be able to stick to your goals, so, for example, if you want to really start to look at your fitness next year as a priority, then this would be a good time to start looking for some classes or some different types of fitness trainings  that you could attend,  so you could look up places in your local area and search for where to join Muay Thai workout class just to see what’s on offer, and then you could arrange to start doing them know so that when you come to the start of the year, you already have the place booked and you don’t have to waste time in January looking for a class to attend.

You could also further set the intention and get more in alignment with your goals by asking for Christmas gifts that are related to your new health and fitness goals. Things such as workout gear, water bottles, or running shoes could be great gifts that would really help you.

As with anything that’s worth doing, your fitness and health are definitely worth investing some time into, and you will only get the results if you show the commitment and show up to work everyday, take the actions that you need to take,  and most importantly, you need to have a plan and a reason for doing it.

Don’t just go to the gym because everyone else is doing it and you feel that you should be doing it. You should only go if you feel like it’s something that’s important to you, and is a goal that you set for yourself based on personal reasons, otherwise you will eventually find yourself losing the motivation to go.
