You might think that just because you’re trying to eat healthily, lose weight, or prefer not to consume artificial products on a regular basis, you can’t enjoy your favorite junk food. Well, now you can indulge in burgers, cookies, and puddings like everyone thanks to these healthy versions of four famously calorie laden dishes.

Blueberry Pancakes

Don’t you just love it when pancakes are served piping hot fresh from the pan? Nothing beats their golden, fluffy appearance and heavenly buttery taste. Thankfully, by whipping up a batch of these mini ones, you can enjoy the best of comfort foods without the calories. Grab yourself 3/4 of a cup plain fat-free Greek yogurt plus one egg, 1/2 cup of flour, baking soda, and blueberries. You want to mix the yogurt in a small bowl till smooth and add the egg. In another bowl combine flour and baking soda. Tip the yogurt mix into the dry ingredients, stir and get ready to cook the batter. Scatter several blueberries into the cooking mixture, flip when bubbly and serve!

Chili Beef Burgers

These sweet, spicy burgers are light on calories, thanks to the lean beef or turkey, but still, pack one hell of a punch! You’re going to need a pound of beef, chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, and some Greek yogurt. Instead of a white roll use a whole grain bun, pita or rice and for the topping tomato, cucumber, lettuce and strong cheddar cheese. Make up the burger patties as normal and while they’re cooking combine Greek yogurt and chopped peppers to make your sauce. Once cooked assemble your burger however you like and then tuck in!

Crispy Fish And Chips

Traditional fish and chips can be greasy, calorie-laden and taste quite oily, not so these baked beauties. Prepare your chips by cutting up chunks of potato, mix with olive oil and paprika in a bowl and then pop into the oven for around 25 minutes until beautiful and crispy. While the chips are cooking it’s time to make your fish, take crushed cereal, salt, and pepper and mix, in another bowl whisk some egg whites, dip the fish in and then coat in cereal crumbs.

Bake in the bottom oven for around twelve minutes or an alternative cooking method is an air fryer. Check out these useful air fryer reviews for more information as well to learn how you could reduce your cooking times.

Guilt Free Chocolate Pudding

There are very few problems in life that chocolate can’t fix, or at the very least make a bit better. incidentally, the word chocolate comes from the Aztec ‘xocolatl,‘ meaning bitter water and natural cocoa is quite sharp. However, the sweet stuff that we eat comes with lots of added sugar, but help is at hand with this yummy recipe for low-fat chocolate pudding. Simply mix sugar, cornstarch, cocoa and salt together in a saucepan, add in milk and then blend. Heat the milky mixture until boiling, always stirring before adding finely chopped chocolate. Remove from the heat add in vanilla extract and serve either warm or cold in pudding cups.
