(Review) Matrix Nutrition’s High Protein Flapjacks

20/08/2016 by Adam

Hey Fitness Lovers!

I hope you’ve all been pushing your own bodies to their limits and are continuing to reach the goals you first set yourselves.

If you’re doing well then it’s important to keep the motivation going by asking yourselves ‘what more can I do?‘

If you’re hovering over the tasks that you originally set up for yourselves then try to remember why you first set that goal, what was it that made it so important to you? If that’s still important then get back on track as quickly as possible – it’s never too late.

I myself drift from time to time, whether that’s cancelling a gym session because I don’t quite feel up to it, or binge a little on foods I know I should be avoiding.

What’s important though is to have a support network around you that you can share your goals, experiences and what works well for you.

Speaking of eating the foods you shouldn’t, this can often be the case when it comes to snacking between meals, or often in my case, some sort of post-dinner snack as I begin to get a little hungry 2 hours after finishing.

Recently I’ve been testing out Matrix Nutrition’s High Protein Flapjacks and, in particular, their ‘Caramel Crunch‘ version (although I’ve also tried their Chocolate Deluxe version in the past), and I absolutely adore them. Here’s why.

First off, the convenience of them is something I should have been on-board with months ago, in terms of incorporating them into my general diet.

I have a protein shake every single day and the main snacks to go with it are mainly made up of a variety of fruit.

Despite the protein shake, it’s still not always possible to get the full daily protein amount into my diet and yet by adding something so convenient such as this flapjack that gives you an extra 17g of protein in a single bar. How could you go wrong?

So onto the taste of the bars themselves. Often there can be a compromise when it comes to flavour as these types of snacks can give you exactly what they say on the tin, yet when it comes to the taste they leave a lot to be desired resulting in you having to force it down!

Not in this case though. I can honestly say the Caramel Crunch tastes really great. It has a layer of the flapjack itself on a base of chocolate and I was very impressed.

Taste should not be underestimated when it comes to adding a protein flapjack to your daily snack list because if you’re going to eat one day after day, you need to be enjoying it.

I was very pleased with the flavour of this product, as well as what it gives you in terms of nutritional protein content and convenience. Right now you can get 24 bars for £17.99 directly from their website, which works out at less than a pound a bar!

I know that long after this review is over I’ll be continuing to use these protein flapjacks as part of my fitness lifestyle, as I also plan to continue to bring you my honest opinions across the extensive range of Matrix Nutrition products.
