(Sponsored) NutriPlan Silver Detox

27/03/2016 by Adam

Just over a month ago I was asked to get involved in a trial for NutriPlan’s Silver Detox package. This was the very first detox programme I had ever tried but thought as it had been such a busy period in my own life (plus the fact that my training and eating habits weren’t at their very best) that a detox plan would be the perfect opportunity to get my body and goals right back on track.

So up until this point I knew very little about NutriPlan, so before agreeing to the review I went over to their website to do some more research and see what I could find out.

What I found was a well-organised, clear layout that focused not on a wide-range of products but exclusively on a select few instead, their Detox packages.

I found out how the detox worked because each step was covered off in enough detail to give me a heads up before the package even arrived, so I knew exactly what to expect.

The programme was split into 4 weeks, over a 28 day period.

Each week focused on a different feeling and speciality as follows:
  • Week 1 – Lean & Green
  • Week 2 – Beautifully Balanced
  • Week 3 – Berry Bliss
  • Week 4 – Free & Clear

Like any detox programme the idea is to cleanse your body of the toxins by flooding your body with many antioxidants so that you have more energy and feel more replenished after the 28 days.

As a result of flooding your body with these toxins, your body will also flush out the waste that’s not doing your body any favours after a prolonged period i.e. 28 days, at which stage you’ll be at a great starting point to really build from.

These antioxidants were made up in four different forms which were:

  1. Shakes
  2. Tea
  3. Capsules
  4. Tablets

What was built into these forms was a well thought-out combination that’s been designed with your body in mind.

Despite everything sounding (and looking) good I was still slightly skeptical with regards to taking capsules from a company I didn’t know too much about. Perhaps this was me just being a little over-cautious. Here’s what happened.

week1

Week 1 – Lean & Green

When the box arrived my first impression was just how well-packaged everything was and how much of a premium product I was actually going to be testing.

Each week was split into 4 cases and in each case was 4 or 5 small brown bags that contained everything you’d need for that day. There was even a small tea strainer to get you on your way! Inside each brown bag was something for the Morning, Lunch & Evening.

Everything was so well thought-out and organised, which if you’re a person who needs that extra information of what to take and when to take it, this was that perfect match.

So every morning started with some form of tea and in Week 1 this was ‘Matcha Tea’.

Although I’m not usually a huge fan of tea this wasn’t too bad and after a few days I quickly got used to it.

At lunch I was taking the Spirulina tablets. I was still continuing with balanced meals and avoiding unhealthy snacks in-between. The first few days I noticed very little change physically, however I had a lot of confidence in this product and had a strong feeling that this would all change sooner rather than later.

The day would finish with a ‘Lean Green Shake’ which was a perfect dessert and helped me to avoid any sweet cravings for later that evening (something I myself can be quite guilty of!)

Week 2 – Beautifully Balanced

week2

Going into the second week I was starting to see a difference in terms of my ability to sleep right through and undisturbed. I believe that the detox programme had some affect on this so I was keen to continue and see what other benefits I’d gain.

Week 3 – Berry Bliss

By the end of the third week I was really getting into the routine of what to take and when to take it. I think the best way to do this is to really incorporate it into your life and the more you embrace the plan, the more you’ll get out of it as I was now finding out.

I had more energy than I can remember which was helping in my general life, being able to keep my focus on daily activities as well as helping me to complete my workout to the best of my ability.

week3

Week 4 – Free & Clear

So the final week was upon me and I was really enjoying this additional element to my life. I felt that the contents in the various bags of Week 4 were designed to slowly help your body adjust away from the detox programme after it had completed it’s job.

Throughout this final week I made some plans as to what I was going to do next in terms of changing my eating habits for the better because even though I do eat healthy, there is always room to learn more, try different foods and stay motivated.

week4

So after 4 weeks of being part of NutriPlan’s Silver Detox plan it was complete. I felt I had more energy and my thoughts were much clearer than in the past. It also helped my body adjust as a result of the poor nutrients that had found their way in and I felt more cleansed than for as long as I can remember.

I think the plan was well thought-out and designed with the body in mind. The instructions can make following it clear and tenable throughout, which makes it much more probable that you’ll complete the plan as a whole and really get the most out of it.

It’s not the cheapest package at £75 but if you’re serious about a detox programme that’s designed to get you back on track with your goals and give you more energy, this is it.
