It’s been 10 years since Liverpool’s first ever food and drink festival began and although I was far from a foodie at that point, I’ve still attended the festival each year for the past 3 years, including this weekend. I wanted to share with you my thoughts about the event as well as the photos I took.
Every year the festival grows and grows, and I find that more and more people are becoming foodies. They’re interested in attending, but also learning about new foods, ingredients, and getting involved in some aspect of the culture.
Personally I think that’s brilliant and the Liverpool Food & Drink Festival has everything you could ask for when it comes to food culture. It optimises the spirit of Liverpool in that everyone involved, whether it’s the staff, the people behind the stalls, or just those choosing to attend, are there to have an enjoyable time with that community spirit that Liverpool holds so close to it’s heart.
I got to the event quite early as I knew it was going to get busy very quickly. On every stall people were proud of their products and were more than happy to go into more detail about them, as well as offer samples!
There were many of the same faces I’d met before, as well as plenty of additional stalls that I hadn’t come across.
I think as foodie trends change each year, the festival knows how to keep up with them and ensure they’re well represented.
Anyway here are the photos I took, I hope you enjoy them. I’m already looking forward to the next one!
