19/03/2020 by Adam

So, you have decided that you want to organize a friendly gathering. Perhaps one of your New Year resolutions was to be more social, or to meet new people? Maybe you already love organizing events and want to take it to the next level?

Whatever the reason, hosting a Friday brunch in Abu Dhabi is a fantastic idea as Dubai is a cosmopolitan city renowned for excellent food, a cheerful atmosphere, and lovely people.

If you are ready to bring a new spark to your social life, read on for tips to organize the best Friday brunch in Abu Dhabi.

1. Pick your restaurant

First things first, you need to decide where you want to host your Friday brunch. While you could do it at home, your best option is to pick a restaurant that is renowned for its Friday brunch.

By opting to have the event in a restaurant, you are ensuring that you need not worry too much about anything other than organizing it!No dirty dishes for you to deal with!

When looking at potential restaurants, make sure to spend some time looking through the restaurant galleryso you cansee what the space is like and whether it fits the vibe and aesthetic that your friends like.

2. Consider cuisine

Another important consideration when looking at potential brunch restaurants is what type of cuisine they serve.Typical brunch cuisine includesfrittatas, waffles, pancakes, and baked goods. However, in Dubai, there are a variety of restaurants that offer different brunch cuisines. For example, on a Friday, Koi Restaurant serves a Japanese brunchthat features an à la carte menu and free-pouring house beverages.

3. Choose a date and time

Once you have picked the restaurant, it is time to choose a date and time and make the reservation! Friday afternoon is the perfect time to host this type of gatheringbecause it means that most people will be available to attend.

In Dubai, brunches on a Friday are merry events with decadent amounts of food. As they are a blend of breakfast and lunch, Friday brunches in Dubaigenerally run from noon to 4 pm.

4. Make your guest list

The next step is to think about who you want to invite. When making any kind of guest list, it is essential to think about what type of event you want it to be.

For example, do you want to get all your best childhood friends together for a monthly catch-up? Or do you want it to be an event where few people know each other and therefore are able to make new friends? Once you understand your purpose, you will be in a better position to create your ideal guest list.

5. Send out invitations

While it takes a little bit more time than merely sending a text, by sending out an invite to your guests, you are making the event more legitimate. In other words, people are more likely to take it seriously and not cancel at the last minute. Plus, receiving an invitation is a fantastic feelingand sets the event up to be a well-thought-out and fun occasion.

Pick a color scheme for the invitations that coordinates with the restaurant that you will be attending and make sure youincorporate all the necessary information. This includes the venue, time, dress code, and the reason you are organizing it!

6. Decide how you will split the bill

Most of the time, the most stressful part of dining out with friends happens when the bill arrives. Therefore, it is highly recommended that you determine how you are going to split the bill before the event starts. That way, everyone can be on the same page from the beginning, including your servers.

Depending on the size of the group, you may want everyone to have individual checks, or you might want to split it equally down the middle. You can decide, just let everyone know so that there aren’t any long discussions at the end of the meal!

7. Prepare for a good time!

As the host, it is natural to feel nervous or apprehensive before the event; however, you want to do whatever you can to ensure you are going to have a good time. As long as you have organized it well, there is no need to stress about what may happen!

Plus, if you are hosting it in a top brunch restaurant, then they are going to handle all the details on the day. All you need to do is show up and bring good energysince this will make a significant difference as to whether your guests have a good time.
