Here’s All You Need to Know About Anxiety Attacks!

26/07/2021 by Adam

“Anxiety is a thin stream of fear trickling through the mind. If encouraged, it cuts a channel into which all other thoughts are drained.”

  • Arthur Somers Roche

As per recent studies, more than 41% of respondents have indicated that they felt more anxious in 2021 than in the previous year. This number has decreased from 2020, where more than 62% of people felt anxious than they felt in 2019. Such factors are eye-opening for the world to see the increasing impact of several neurological disorders, including – anxiety.

What is anxiety?

It is a weird feeling of uneasiness in the body, which is often misunderstood as fear, grief, or worry. At some point in life, everyone experiences anxiety which makes them feel anxious. One of the most common circumstances where one may feel anxious is during job interviews and undergoing medical tests.

When anxiety goes to the next level, it turns into – panic disorders, phobias like (claustrophobia, hydrophobia, agoraphobia, etc.), PTSD (post-traumatic stress disorder), social phobia (social anxiety disorder), and much more. Once an individual reaches such stages, s/he is required to undergo neurological treatments and therapies to the earliest. If not done, one may suffer from GAD (generalized anxiety disorder), which reduces the chances of improvement in the sufferer. GAD is a long-term health condition making one’s life more struggling as the sufferer feels anxious most of the time.

So far, ADAA (Anxiety and Depression Association of America) reveals that more than 18.1% of people in the United States suffer from severe anxiety issues. At the same time, a high majority of adults have started to show early signs of anxiety. The initial signs of anxiety should be treated as the alarming time to recover from this stage.

For how long do the anxiety attacks last?

Anxiety is a neurological condition tied with your specific condition. Therefore, it is hard to tell a particular timeframe for the anxiety attacks. But as we talk about the research done so far, an anxiety attack lasts for around 20 minutes or so. If it lasts for more than this, the sufferer should be immediately taken under a neurologist’s observation.

How to treat anxiety?

There are several ways to treat anxiety. Some people see meditation as the solution, whereas others may find their comfort in a cbd therapy strain releasing body-calming properties. In recent years, CBD (also known as cannabidiol) has become a prominent medium of healing neurological disorders. Regardless of age and gender, it works amazingly to improve the overall wellbeing of an individual. However, it’s advisable to consult a practitioner before ingesting CBD in any form. Different forms and concentrations of CBD strains can lead to several impacts on the body.

The last line –

Anxiety attacks are not something familiar, especially if you have just survived a trauma-like situation. There can be plenty of reasons behind suffering from anxiety; the focal point should be on treating it at the right stage. For this, ensure to grab the best possible knowledge about stress, reliable treatments available, and how to prevent it forever.
