People always say that eating healthily and getting fit is a massive struggle. If you feel this way, it’s probably because your overcomplicated things. There are plenty of simple ways to eat healthy and live a better life. One of the best ways to do this is to think about what you love the most and replace it with healthier alternatives. For instance, you might love your pasta meals. Some students live on pasta through the week because it’s so easy to prepare and to stick something with it. However, rather than past, you should eat rice instead. Rice is lower in carbs and therefore is far better for you. By making a simple change like this, you can instantly improve your diet. Let’s look at some of the other simple changes that you can make.

We bet you do but how do you prepare them? If the answer is fried, that’s a big no-no because then you’re adding a lot of unhealthy grease and oil to your food. You’re also losing some of the natural goodness in the egg too. Scrambled? Still not a great idea because usually when people eat eggs scrambled, they are adding other things into the mix like salt and butter. Instead, you want to eat hard boiled eggs. You’ll still get the same basic taste, but hard boiled eggs are actually good for you. There are plenty of awesome recipes for hard boiled eggs that make them taste absolutely delicious. If you like you can click here to read the recipe! We know you won’t be disappointed if you give it a shot. Hard boiled eggs are also easy to prepare so you can have them as a nice, filling snack any time through the day.

How About Chocolate?

There are probably at least a few chocoholics reading this article and if that’s the case, you probably already know how bad for you it is. We’re not going to remind you. Instead, we’re going to offer you a healthy alternative. Why not try some carob? Carob is a pod plant and inside the pods, there is some lovely, sticky goo. When extracted it can be grinded and roasted to resemble something that looks and tastes a lot like chocolate. The best part? It’s naturally low in calories so while you get the same taste, it’s far better for you.

Any Meat Lovers Out There?

If you have a meaty diet as well as getting a lot of protein, you’re probably also consuming large amounts of fat. But this is all about the type of meat that you eat. If you love chicken, avoiding dining on thighs and legs. Instead, you want to focus on the breast instead. This is better for you and will contain less of the fat and rubbish that is making you unhealthy. Similarly, you may want to think about those red meats that you adore. Try replacing those with fish instead. Fish is naturally good for you, filled with the right fats, oils, and proteins that will keep your body fit and lean.

Using any one of these awesome alternatives you can add a little more healthy eating to your lifestyle.
