(GUEST POST) When Is The Best Time To Workout?

07/02/2017 by Adam

There is much debate about the ideal exercise routine. A lot of it revolves around the time of the day one should head to the gym, and a variety of factors are held to scrutiny. Mornings and evenings are the two major camps, and at this stage, it is evident you can work out whenever you are most likely to have free time, since both time slots have their pros and cons. So instead of telling you why you must work out when i like to, I’ll tell you about what’s great and not so great about working at either times.

Working out in the Mornings

Mornings are popularly characterised with drowsiness and unwillingness to get out of bed. The other connotation mornings carry is that of hard work and discipline leading to success. Divorced from both of these, however, is a biological reality of what your body feels in the early morning. If you wake up around 5-6 on your own, no matter how late you sleep, you’re probably an early riser. If you just don’t feel awake till 8-9, you’re probably a late riser. Early risers are often at an advantage if they work out early in the morning. With a busy schedule, you can probably eek in an elaborate workout if you wake up at 5, but not so much if you’re groggy till the clock strikes 8.

You can of course change this waking and sleep pattern, known as your circadian rhythm, through practice. Wake up early a few days for a month or two, and you should be able to get up early without an alarm system. Your workout in that period is going to be dull, no doubt, but exercise does get oxygen pumping properly to your systems, so you should feel healthy and refreshed all day.

Working out in the Evenings

Evenings have a whole other deal to offer. Most of us are really tired after work and need to chill on the couch in front of the idiot box. But there are those of us who’re relieved to walk out of the office at the end, and enjoy the endorphin rush workouts give as a reward for a day’s toil. Evenings are great times to work out since your body is sure to be awake and thus receptive to the workout you’re going to be doing. Evenings are times when you don’t have a busy schedule to take care of, and thus you can afford to spend a few extra minutes to warm up and cool down and make your preparation thorough. Plus, workouts can really stimulate a healthy appetite for dinner.

It’s important to choose the right equipments including rowing machines, or exercise bies so make sure you read the rowing machine reviews before going forward.

Evenings are also the time when your body repairs your muscle tissues damaged during workouts. The process takes place when you’re sleeping, and so your dinner takes place really close to when your body is repairing muscles. This makes a good portion of protein available to these muscles. Conversely, a high oxygen and carb availability can make it difficult for some people to get a good night’s rest. This is something your body must adjust to.

What time you exercise is immaterial; what’s important is that you work out and take care on your health as well as social well being and occupational and filial responsibilities. Workout when it suits you, but do exercise each day, or all your previous efforts can go down the drain.
