(GUEST) The Best Tilapia Dishes That You Would Surely Love

12/06/2017 by Adam

When I was an amateur in fishing, learning how to catch tilapia seemed to be a very complicated task. Now that I have fully mastered the skills on how to do it, I have changed my attention to rustling up tasty meals with my favorite

As a food and cooking enthusiast, I have cooked delicious tilapia dishes that are suitable for any season, and here are my best tilapia recipes that would utterly give pleasure to your taste buds:

#1 Greek-Style Tilapia

Via http://highlinercanada.tumblr.com/post/63378344746/greek-style-tilapia-wraps rel=”nofollow”

This dish is a Mediterranean fish dish which is popular because of its health benefits. How did I say so? Well, it just contains 36 grams of protein, two grams of fiber, 395 calories, 310 milligrams of sodium, and mind you, zero milligrams of cholesterol.

Also, it is very easy to cook. You only need one to two pieces of lemon, one and a half pounds of tilapia fillets, one tablespoon of oregano leaves (make sure they are fresh!), one pint of grape tomatoes and eight ounces of orzo.

To prepare, you will need to preheat the oven (for up to Fahrenheit is okay). Then, grate one and a half teaspoon peel and squeeze one-fourth cup of juice. Prepare a 13 by 9 inches (this is an ideal estimate size, you can still use whatever you have on hand) ceramic or glass baking dish.

Lay out tilapia fillets. Spread the chopped oregano, lemon peel and juice, one-fourth teaspoon of salt and one-fourth teaspoon of ground black pepper by sprinkling them to the fillet. Put tomatoes around tilapia in your baking dish.

Cover everything with foil before you roast it for 16 to 18 minutes. You can also do this until the tomatoes become soft or until the tilapia fillet is opaque throughout. While doing this, heat the covered 4-quart saucepan which contains salted water to boiling on high. Put orzo.

Follow the instructions on the label when cooking and drain well. Serve tomatoes, orzo, and tilapia with juices coming from the baking dish.

 #2 Five-Spice Tilapia for Two

This recipe is another nutritious tilapia dish that is very high in protein (it has approximately 24 grams of it in one serving) yet low in cholesterol (about 57 milligrams).

Also, it is gluten-free which means eating this can be an effective way to lose weight. This dish is very visually appealing because of its ingredients which add to its glaze.

These ingredients are one tablespoon of canola oil, one-fourth cup of reduced- soy sauce, three tablespoons of brown sugar, three scallions which you have to slice into thin pieces, one teaspoon of Chinese five-spice powder, and, of course, our one pound of tilapia fillets.

I am so thrilled to share with you some ways to cook this food which has been our family’s favorite since I discovered how quick it is to prepare. You only have to sprinkle the five-spice powder to both sides of the tilapia fillet. Mix with brown sugar and soy sauce in a tiny bowl.

Prepare oil by heating it in a skillet, and apply medium-high heat. Put the tilapia, cook for two minutes and wait for the outer edges to be opaque.

Finally, you just have to lower the heat, flip the fish and mix the soy mixture and pour it into the pan. Boil the sauce and cook the tilapia through. Do this for another two minutes until the sauce is thick enough.

Remove from the heat, and you can put scallions too. You can now serve your the drizzling freshly-cooked five-spice tilapia.

#3 Almond-Crusted Tilapia

Another way to prepare your favorite fish beyond the restaurant quality is within your reach.

Just ready two pieces of lemon, two tablespoons of olive oil, one-half teaspoon of salt, one-fourth teaspoon of coarsely ground black pepper, four tilapia fillets, one-fourth cup of sliced natural almonds, one small onion, one bag of trimmed fresh green beans, one package sliced white mushrooms and two tablespoons of water, and you are all ready.

Preheat your oven to around 400-425 degrees. From one lemon, squeeze three tablespoons of juice and grate one teaspoon peel. From the second lemon, make at least eight wedges by cutting it.

Mix the lemon peel, one tablespoon of oil, one-fourth teaspoon of salt, one-eighth teaspoon of ground black pepper.

In a 13 by nine inches service dish, put the tilapia and drizzle it with lemon mixture. Sprinkle almonds on top of tilapia then bake it until tilapia becomes opaque; this will take approximately 14-16 minutes.

In a 12-inch skillet, you just have to heat one tablespoon of oil that was left. Apply medium-high heat for one minute. Put onion. Cook for five to six minutes and observe it until it turns golden.

Stir from time to time with a mixture of green beans, one-fourth teaspoon of salt, one-eighth teaspoon of ground black pepper, and water.

For five to six minutes, cook the mixture or until the green beans become tender-crisp or until much of the liquid evaporates. Finally, just toss the two tablespoons of lemon juice that was left and serve tilapia with bean mixture and lemon wedges.

Conclusion:

Did you enjoy the new dishes that you have learned?

These recipes that I just mentioned are just some of my ways to make tilapia the star of our meals. Thank you to the fishing skills I have learned and the beginner fishing rod I used in angling which helped me catch and serve tilapia to my family and friends.

You can also try these dishes. Believe me, you won’t regret it, and you can eat with no guilt because of its health benefits.
