Burning calories is key. When you expend more energy than you consume in the right places, you’ll do more than lose weight. Many guys also experience a boost in their mood, lifestyle perspective, and energy levels.
Of course, to work out is to go hard. At least, that’s how you see it, and that’s the problem – you’re overthinking exercise. What you need are activities that reduce your kcal without your brain realising that you’re doing it as you’ll never feel unmotivated again.
To learn how you can trick your mind and body into working out, you should carry on reading.
Live-Action Role Playing
Also known as LARPing, live-action role-play is when you make your favourite TV shows and films a reality. Think Game of Thrones or any other fantasy content but with real-life costumes, weaponry, and acting all thrown in for good measure. The great thing about LARPing, apart from the fact that you can socialise with likeminded people with similar interests, is that it’s an incredibly active pursuit. Thanks to the heavy clothes and equipment that you’ll carry around, you’ll use a range of muscles, and mix this impromptu weights session with plenty of cardio in the form of walking and running. Track your fitness and see how yourself!
Trampolining
Bouncing on a trampoline is many things, but it ain’t hard work! If you’ve ever jumped up and down for hours on end, you’ll know that it’s one of the most enjoyable experiences you can have with such simple gear. The good news is that the correct form of trampolining is a powerful form of exercise for both kids and adults. The method you want to try is rebounding as a rebounder mini trampoline allows you to perform aerobic exercises while having fun. It’s low-impact, too, so you may not even recognise that you’re starting to sweat or get tired!
Digital Geocaching
Geocaching is the art of finding ‘caches’ that other people have hidden using GPS and a metal detector (if necessary). On its own, geocaching is an awesome and active way to spend a day. However, you may need to spice things up a little, which is where digital geocaching comes into play. If you haven’t heard of the term, it’s essentially the same as playing Pokemon Go. Just locate the species that you’re attempting to catch and head out into the wild to find them! There are other games, such as Harry Potter: Wizards Unite, so there’s plenty of choices.
Standing Up
Yes, something as basic as standing up can encourage your body to burn more calories. The reason is simple – you can’t do it all day. As a result, you should switch from sitting to standing regularly, forcing your cardio system to kick in whenever you decide to give your bum a rest. Although it’s tempting to dismiss this method as insignificant, there’s plenty of research to suggest that sitting less leads to an extra 0.15 calories used more per sixty seconds, among other health benefits.
You may be doing those things already, but you haven’t realised yet!
