Fed Up Of Your Fitness Regime?

19/05/2017 by Adam

Are you fed up of your fitness regime? Are you bored of doing the same old workouts or you tired of spending every spare moment exercising for nothing in return? If you lack motivation, but you want to get in shape, it’s time to switch things up. Here are some simple ways you get back on track.

Try Something New

Are you bored of lifting weights or doing squats? Have you had enough of the same old jogging circuits or have you lost patience with yoga? Like everything in life, it’s easy to lose motivation and enthusiasm when you do the same thing over and over again. Fitness should be fun, not dull. There’s no rule that says that you have to live in a gym to get in shape.

There’s a whole world out there, and a load of activities you can try. Find out about classes on offer if you have a gym membership or try sports like football, soccer, tennis, swimming or baseball. Start climbing, take dance lessons or even go trampolining once a week. For more ideas, have a look at http://health.usnews.com/wellness/slideshows/13-fun-sports-that-burn-calories.

If you can vary your workouts, you can keep them interesting as well as enjoying the benefits of working different muscle groups and improving your speed and agility as well as your strength and endurance. There’s a lot to be said for giving new things a try. You may come across activities that you love and working out won’t be such a chore.

Consider Your Lifestyle

It’s helpful to bear your lifestyle in mind when you’re planning workout sessions. If you don’t have much time, you don’t want to devote every spare second to exercise, so go for activities that you can fit into your schedule. Home workouts for great for those with time restrictions. You don’t have to worry about wasting time getting to or from a gym or sports center and you can workout as soon as you get home, and then chill out and put your feet up.

If you’re thinking about buying gym equipment to use at home, it’s wise to shop around and compare prices and read reviews like those on sites like https://defendyourhealthcare.us/whole-body-vibration-plate-high-speed. Even if you don’t have a gym at home, you can still work out. You could use the backyard to do some circuit training or follow an online regime or a DVD. Another option to consider is a gym workout or class that only lasts half an hour. If you do something like high-intensity interval training (HIIT), for example, you can hit your burn in 20 minutes, rather than spending an hour out jogging.

It’s very easy to get carried away and fall in love with exercise, but it’s also not uncommon to lose motivation and start to find that your workouts become repetitive and dull. If you’re fed up, hopefully, this guide will prove useful, and you’ll have the confidence to try something new or come up with ideas that enable you to manage your work-life balance more effectively. Have fun with fitness. It shouldn’t be boring.
