Hey guys! I know it’s been quite a while since I’ve personally written a blog post (thank god for the many guest contributions that want to write for the site!) but just soooo much has been happening lately #gamechanging.
So I thought I’d provide you with the latest news on what’s been going on in the life of Adam Warren and beyond!
Ever since I was in hospital due to food poisoning back in March I’ve been taking stock of what I feel is most important to me, health, happiness and doing what I love to do became recurring themes which I planned to maximise as best as I could when I left hospital.
Health has always always been a priority for me but after dropping down to 8% body fat and hitting my 2018 goal early, not due to eating right and exercise but because of the illness, I ended up going the other way.
So I’ve spiralled slightly, going back up to around 12-13%, which for many would be good to get to in itself, but for me it’s not enough.
Around this time a company called Queal got in touch with me to try out their range of healthy shakes and various snack bars. I felt this would help me on my return to getting back under 10% body fat as the shakes contained all of what I needed in terms of vitamins, minerals and plenty of protein too.
The fact that the shake could become a meal replacement, or a ‘meal between meals’ would keep me fuller for longer and I wouldn’t be wandering over to see what snacks I had in stock!
So far they’ve worked out really great and, alongside returning to the gym regularly, they’ve helped me reduce my body fat further. I also love the taste! They really are delicious and I love how convenient they are. You just pour enough water into the container, add the scoops, mix well and that’s it.
They’re keeping me fuller for longer which is what I’d hoped. I also use them as a post-workout snack, as well as take a shake to work with me and I cannot remember the last time I was hungry!
They also sent me their range of GO Bars, which in my opinion are so much bigger than the average protein bar you get. They’re almost like a meal in themselves but also taste great. Trying out Queal is one of the best decisions I’ve made all year.
Since I signed up to the Wirral Half Marathon in September running has restarted. Yet I do have some concerns about my knee as I seem to be getting some pain after each run. Fitness-wide I know I can get there and maybe even challenge my PB but in the short-term this could be my last half marathon for a while.
I also have a new website which I’ve dedicated to the other side of what I’m most passionate about, travel and photography.
I’m starting to put together a Portfolio of my best photography work so far, so feel free to come check it out! There’s even a YouTube channel which I’ve launched specifically for Lightroom & Photoshop tutorials. This was how I learnt how to edit my photographs and I feel it’s something I can now teach and help this community with.
I’m also working with Fitbit again as I’ve signed up to join their running team for their latest 10km run in London in September which I’m really looking forward to. I’ll be picking up one of their Ionic watches which I’ve wanted for quite some time!
Herbalife are also helping me with my training. They’ve sent me their latest electrolytes formula ‘CR7 Drive’ which I take before and during my football sessions to keep me going for longer. It worked so well for me last year I just had to ask them for more! They’ve always been so supportive of me and I love their products as well.
Finally I have to mention the one and only Fuel10k brand who I absolutely adore – I’ve been working very closely with them for quite some time now, offering my thoughts and ideas on their products. They really are such an exciting brand who continue to impress me.
So there’s a quick update for you all! I hope to get the opportunity to write a bit more over the coming weeks and months all about my training (and hopefully progress!) for the half marathon, as well as trying my best to stay healthy!
Thank you for taking the time to read this and be part of this wonderful community!

P.S I also received a mystery package from a company called Scietic Nutrition – if you’re out there many thanks for this as I wasn’t expecting it!
