The Best 30 Minute Workouts

27/06/2017 by Adam

It can sometimes be difficult to stick to a workout regime when you’ve got so much other stuff going on. You might be working late or studying for exams and just not have the time to commit to exercise. But during these times, it’s important that you still find ways to keep your fitness levels up. A few days off is good for you, but anything more than that and you’ll be amazed at how quickly your muscles lose tone and your fitness levels start to drop. That’s why these workouts are great. You can get an all-over body workout in just 30 minutes if you are doing it right and making the most of your time.

Running

Running is a great exercise if you are short on time as you don’t need to go anywhere specific or take any equipment. Just put on your trainers and run right out of your front door. Run for 15 minutes, turn and run back. To make sure you are still getting a great workout in a reduced time, push yourself to go further and faster in your 30 minutes or add some hills and sprint intervals to your session.

Pilates

Pilates is another workout that you don’t need to leave the house for. There are some brilliant videos online, including some specifically designed for men looking to build strength, so don’t worry if you think Pilates is too girly to help you; it definitely isn’t. Pilates uses your own body weight as resistance giving you an awesome strength and cardio workout. In 30 minutes, you could work your whole body or target specific areas.

Swimming

Swimming is a great way to keep exercising if you are struggling with an injury or you feel too tired to hit the gym. When you’re swimming, you are working your whole body. Your limbs are powering you forwards while your core muscles are working to hold your body straight in the water. However, the water is also working to take pressure off your joints and ligaments. So, if you’re suffering from a sports injury, swimming is a fantastic way to keep your fitness levels up while you recover.

Intervals

Interval training is a proven way to make the most of your time. You could add sprints to your runs or swim sessions, have a go at some HIIT workouts, or try interval weight training. Using intervals is a great way to not only make the most of your time but also help you if you are bored and struggling to motivate yourself.

Remember to try your best to fit in three cardio workouts, as well as some weight or strength training every week for the best results. Exercise is a great way to lose weight and build strength and stamina, but it’s worth doing for many other reasons. Getting enough exercise can help you to reduce stress and maintain good mental health. Sports could even lead to you earning a scholarship from athletes-usa.com giving you great opportunities in the future.

So, don’t make excuses, just make the most of what time you do have. Exercise is always worth doing.
