Abs Are Made In The Kitchen: Here’s How

When you’re on your health and fitness journey, you can often feel like it’s never ending. You eat right, you exercise, and you’re on your way to your end goal – regardless of what that end goal is. If it happens to be that you want to get super lean and have abs on show, you might need to work a little harder than you are now.

If losing weight is your goal, you can work at it slowly and surely to see results. But if you want to get abs and have a very low body fat percentage, you need to push past what you think is effort and work a lot harder. It will take work, but it’s not impossible – these steps will show you that.

Stay Hydrated

It’s not a lie when people tell you that drinking water can make the world of difference to your health. It really can. Not only will you find that you’ll sleep better when you’re properly hydrated, but you’ll also be less bloated, you’ll have more energy, and yes, you will lose weight too. It’s actually the key to getting as lean as you possible can. By flushing your system, you’re getting one step closer to revealing your abs.

Prep, Prep, Prep

Although it is important to actually train your abs for them to come through, that’s not the hard part. You can exercise until your heart’s content, but they won’t show at their best unless your diet is right. To help yourself get your diet to the point that it needs to be, you might want to think about prepping your food ahead of time. Then, you can eat when you need too and feel the benefit of convenience – these recipes should get you started.

Eat Clean

As you start to think more about getting those abs, you will realise that they are made in the kitchen. It’s your diet that’s going to create them. So, you need to start eating clean. A clean diet will help you to burn fat and for those abs to come through. Whether you choose to eat organically, stick to a high protein diet or learn how to make better smoothies, just start today. Your abs need you to.

Workout Fasted

Yes, diet is the key to getting those abs, but you can also help it along by working out a lot smarter. If you’re doing a lot of resistance training, keep doing what you’re doing. But, you might benefit from doing a cardio session or two too. If you want to burn fat, jump on a spin bike in the morning when you first wake up, before you’ve eaten anything. Working out in a fasted state allows you to burn more calories for longer, meaning you might get those abs faster.

Rest & Recover

And, finally, to see strong results, you’re going to want to make sure that you’re resting up. If you over work your body in the gym, you’re not going to see results as quick as you’d like. Your body will be stressed, and it will not be at it best. So, it’s time to prioritise sleeping and making time for yourself.
