Ingenious Ways of Enjoying Organic Ice Cream

26/08/2019 by Adam

Organic ice cream is one that is made from organic milk, which in turn is obtained from cows that graze naturally. This type of ice cream is also processed with natural food additives and preservatives; unlike regular ice cream, which is made with artificial colourings and thickeners and preserved with artificial additives. Organic ice cream is also more delicious because it contains all nutrients packed in milk.

That said, who said you can only enjoy your scoop of ice cream in a cone of from a bowl? Here are some ingenious, fun ways to get your share of ice cream goodness.

Affogato

Can’t decide if to go with coffee or ice cream for that dessert?  Fortunately, Italians have gifted all of us with an unconventional way of eating ice cream that will come in handy.  Simply add a scoop of ice cream to a cup of espresso and get something appetizing. You can experiment with either hot or cold espresso to get something creamy and hot, or cold and sweet, respectfully.

Fry it

Everything tastes better when it’s fried, and your favourite organic ice cream is no exception. To enjoy fried ice cream, take a scoop, roll it in cornflake crumbs and then fry it for about three minutes. Serve immediately and enjoy the yumminess of the magical result – thrilling hot on the surface, icy cold in the inside!

Organic Ice cream “Hot Dog”

Lather hot dogs in butter, sugar, cinnamon or ginger. Then place them on a hot grill and let the coating adhere, with a slight burn to bring out the flavour. Cut each hot dog into two pieces and fill them up with scoops of organic ice cream.

Enjoy a Loti

Singaporeans long discovered the treat of an ice cream sandwich, and they call it a loti.Thankfully, you don’t have to go to Singapore for your lotishare; everything you need is right in your kitchen. Simply spoon out your favourite organic ice cream flavour onto a slice of bread, whether folded or open-faced. Alternatively, if cookies are more like your thing, then by all means, use them instead!

Milkshakes

Milkshakes don’t just have to be the classic soda dessert. They can also be used to indulge in ice cream in the best way possible. Take a scoop of your organic ice cream, add a bit of milk and blend. Enjoy your milky and sweet afternoon treat.

Top with Fruit, Chocolate and Nuts

Chocolate and ice cream are equally popular. And what better way to enjoy the two than together? Sprinkle a bit of chocolate syrup on your organic ice cream. Then top it with diced fruit; mango, strawberry or pawpaw is a good idea. Go ahead and top it again with your favourite nuts – could be macadamia, peanut or hazelnut. Fruit will pack it with more sweetness, and nuts will give it a bumpy and exciting texture.

Snowballs

If you adore coconut, this might well be a hit. Shred some coconut and sweeten it, most preferably with honey. Toast it, then let it cool. Next, scoop some ice cream and lather on the cooled coconut. Place the coconut on a baking tray covered with a wax paper. Place it into the freezer and serve when still very firm.

The best way to enjoy the creamy sweetness of ice cream is to eat it! There are countless ways to do this, and you can never go wrong with any of them. Take your ice cream treat experience to the next level by experimenting with these creative ways. Not only are they an absolute delight, but they are healthy, ensuring you get the best of both worlds!
