One of the biggest excuses that people tend to make for why they can’t or haven’t worked out or been active, is that they didn’t have time – they were too busy doing other things and having other responsibilities. But what a lot of people forget is that staying active should be up there of things to do on your list. It isn’t just about looking good on the outside and rocking the clothes that you wear, it’s also about all of the amazing benefits that are going on on the inside too. And a lot of people forget about them because we all seem to be so focused on our exterior and how many likes it’s able to get on Instagram.
You need to make time for yourself to feel good, and do things that will keep you well and healthy for years to come. Even if it’s just thirty minutes out of your day – every little bit counts and adds up. So it really is worth it.
Here are some tips to keep fit while on the move.
Mix up the routine
If you tend to stick to a daily routine that includes driving to and from work, then heading out to the shops once a week for your groceries, and then going to get your hair done, then catching a bus into town for some new clothes, etc – think about how you can do things differently that will benefit you physically. For example, is your workplace close enough to walk to and from? If not, are there other things you could opt for walking to, rather than driving? Or instead of going to get your nails done that day, why not get sweaty out on a run with a girlfriend of yours?
Get a trainer
No matter where you find yourself in the world, there will always be a personal trainer ready to get you into shape and push you beyond your limits, you just need to have a look around. UP Fitness has a collection of the best coaches that will be able to work closely with you, while catering to your own individual wants and needs. Their job is to find out just where your limit is, and then teach you how to go further and outdo yourself every time. This not only gives you the physical results you were looking for, but reminds you that you are capable of doing anything you put your mind to.
Get creative at home
Nobody said you couldn’t get fit at home. There are so many options that you have, from following YouTube workout videos online in your living room, to turning up the volume of your favourite album and dancing around in your bedroom, or even giving the house a spring clean. These things are getting your heart racing and your blood pumping, and you’re not even required to leave the comfort of your own home, so there really is no excuse for you not to at least squeeze in a thirty minute session.
