Are we already in August? Really!?
A month or so ago I was returning from my amazing trip to Sorrento, Italy after spending the previous couple of months working on those beach body goals. Now here we are in early August and before we know it the Summer will be over and the leaves will be falling from the trees!
If you’re having a Summer holiday and you’re still counting down the days, you’re lucky and I’m jealous!
For the rest of us though there’s no time to be depressed and down about the Summer being almost over. We’ve got our health and fitness, our goals and our lives to still be getting on with.
So what’s new in mine?
Well last Sunday as I started getting ready to go to my Football practice, I decided to see why everyone was making such a fuss about the whole Pokemon Go game. Is it for kids? Is it for adults from ‘that era’? Who honestly cares.
I actually found myself enjoying it and I’m not afraid to admit that.
I love going on long random walks just for the sake of it, and introducing this element of catching these ‘wild pokemon’ actually made the walk more enjoyable.
So whatever your reason for getting into it, if you enjoy something (and it’s legal) keep going and see how far it will take you!
This past month I was trying out USN’s newest range of protein, their Dynamic Whey taken from their ‘Essentials‘ range.
My initial reaction was that I was perhaps being sent an inferior style of protein due to the low price-tag from a budget range of products, however I was so wrong.
First let me explain more about the product itself.
The Dynamic Whey Protein is a nutrient-rich, high quality protein supplement and contains 24g of this protein for each serving.
If all you’re looking for is to get some extra protein in your diet and you feel the only option that’s available to you at present is to invest in a £40+ tub of something, then look no further than this.
It’s a no-nonesense product that will help aid in your muscle recovery and re-production post-workout and also contains a very low amount of carbs too (only 3g) which allows you to stay in control of your calorie intake.
You could use it post-workout to help aid your muscle recovery after you’ve purposefully torn the microfibres from a productive session. As well as part of an early breakfast or even afternoon snack between meals.
The fact that you get so many options for less than £16/kg is really excellent, and although my goals are slightly more complex, I will still be keeping a bag of this handy.
So is there a compromise on taste? Not even slightly. I tried the Chocolate version and just added water and it tasted as good as any protein I’ve had in the past and even better than most!
Whether you’re new to the fitness regime, being introduced to protein for the first time, or just want a cheaper alternative to the complex formulas out there on the market, USN’s Dynamic Whey is for you and you’ll have it on repeat order I promise!
So keep up the fitness, continue to set yourself goals and more than anything else, enjoy the journey because that’s what truly matters.
