You’ve recently bought a new house and know from the home inspector Lynchburg you hired that the kitchen has a few issues with it. No problem, you can just renovate it. But what style are you going to use?
Handleless kitchens are, and always will be a personal favourite kitchen design of mine. Boasting timeless aesthetics paired with snag free living, it’s a kitchen solution that has been perfectly tailored to meet the fast-paced needs of family life. It’s a kitchen design trend that the world is falling in love with. Online searches for handleless kitchens was up 24.14% from last year making it clear that this is going to be a kitchen design trend that will be here with us for the long run.
The term handleless kitchen is extremely vague, for example, a rustic kitchen finish with oak counters can fall in the handleless kitchen category whilst at the same time, a kitchen with full white athletics and marble counters can be labelled the same. This means many first time buyers are left overwhelmed with all the options out there creating doubt if handleless is even the right solution for their requirements.
In this article, we will be taking you through some of the latest handleless kitchen design options that are trending in 2021. The goal is to help you better understand the different subcategories of handleless kitchens allowing you to better find the right one for you.
True Handleless Kitchens
Handleless kitchens are extremely stylish and as the style trends, many kitchen designers claim their work to be handleless when in fact it’s not true handleless kitchen. A true handleless kitchen takes advantage of short and undersized units which recede into the unit to create a fully handleless profile. This includes everything from your kitchen cupboards to the door which allows you to get in and out of the kitchen with ease.
Shaker Handleless Kitchens
A shaker handleless kitchen is a unique combination of my two favourite styles. Taking the lovely symmetrical shaker cabinet design and finishing them off with handleless access points allow homeowners to enjoy the best of both worlds. This kitchen design creates a lovely traditional aesthetic that blends extremely well with the modern appliances which can be found in every household.
Gloss Handleless Kitchens
The gloss kitchen finish is growing in popularity every single year. Boasting beautiful counters which are sure to wow your visitors, it’s the perfect option for young homeowners looking to bring their kitchen into the modern era we live in. Gloss kitchens are bright in colour and bold in attitude, it’s a kitchen design that’s before its time. One thing you should be aware of is that these kitchens don’t hide mess well.
Matt Handleless Kitchens
A kitchen design that you could imagine finding in the Hollywood hills. Matt handleless kitchens take the word contemporary to the next level, usually finished off with dark grey counters. It’s a design that is going to create a centrepiece in your home which your daily life will revolve around. It’s a very raw style that requires an acquired taste but if you’re interested in something a little out of the box, the matt handleless kitchen is the right one for you.
Black Handleless Kitchen
What might come across to be a very simple kitchen design idea, black handleless kitchens are some of the most complex options out there. It’s a work of art being able to balance dark and sleek counters with natural light and oversized windows but if done right, the result can be to die for. If a full blackout isn’t the right look for you, a slight tweak to use black counters as a counterbalance to bright wallpaper and kitchen appliances.
