9 Tasty Foods That Can Help You Lose Weight

11/10/2018 by Adam

The most efficient way of losing weight is by burning more calories than you are ingesting. You can achieve this by exercising or by adopting the right eating habits. And while it is essential, some of us may not have sufficient time to put in some good workouts.

Particular foods are excellent in helping you shed a few pounds off your body. That means you can enjoy tasty dishes without having to suffer through exercises and starving.

Some of them boost your metabolism and others stay longer in the digestive system to feel full and curb cravings. So what are these foods?

Sausage and Eggs

Sounds crazy, right? Believe it or not but a protein-rich breakfast makes you feel full throughout the day. The tasty meal that includes sausage and eggs will curb cravings better than high calories foods like bread and butter. You don’t need to skip breakfast but instead, make better choices, healthier choices.

Whole Wheat Pasta

Many dieters are fond of shunning whole wheat pasta as they wrongly consider it to be calorie-rich. In contrast, the food is quite filling and is rich in niacin, riboflavin, thiamin, compounds that the body uses to get energy from the food.

The delicious food is also rich in fibre and proteins which work together to keep your blood glucose stable and feel full for longer. Just watch your portion intake.

Bananas

The potassium-rich fruit contains multivitamins that have numerous benefits. A few bananas through the day are filling and help you resist the fast food cravings. Even better, the fruit has a boosting effect on the metabolism and helps burn more calories than you consume. They are low in fat and high in fibre.

Green bananas, on the other hand, have high amounts of resistant starch that reduce sugar absorption and enhance fat burning.

Sweet Potatoes

Sweet potatoes are not only delicious but come packed with a significant amount of beta-carotene, which the body converts to Vitamin A. One piece can provide as much as three times your recommended daily Vitamin A amounts, keeping your eyes healthy and immune system strong.

That means you can enjoy your favourite toasty barbequed sweet potatoes with green tea before you head out to face the challenges the day brings. This is one of the foods recommended by the health review team, check weight loss: the-health-review.com/.

Salmon

The thought of well-cooked salmon patties is enough to make your mouth water. Salmon is a healthy substitute for fatty and tender stakes that you love so much. Mostly, the food contains omega 3 and is low in saturated fats.

Peanut Butter

Peanut butter is a favourite of many people, and it turns out that it has a host of health benefits. The food is an excellent source of monounsaturated fats, associated with lower risks of diabetes and heart diseases. Yes, it sounds preposterous, but studiesshow that peanut butter-centred diets are great towards weight reduction efforts.

Apple

Remember the adage, ‘an apple a day keeps the doctor away?’ It turns out there is some truth to it. But we are not talking about apple juice, but rather, the crunchy fruit which has a right amount of fibre. Chewing it tells the brain that you are eating something to make you full.

Apples are water-rich foods, containing about 85% water content. The fruit is thus filling and helps in reduced calorie intake.

Chocolate

Don’t we all love chocolate? The astringent, sweet food from the extracts of cacao plant is better than most when it comes to helping you lose weight. Studies show that a bar or two of dark chocolate between meals curbs cravings and you eat less.

And apart from mending broken hearts, dark chocolate has a host of other health benefits associated with having antioxidants.

Soup

Some of us are excellent soup makers by blending herbs, spices and other foods. The good news is that you don’t have to give up your soup consumption tendencies to cut weight. A cup of broth-based soup, with calories, kept to a maximum of 150 will help you eat less. So get your cooking tools and prepare some finger licking vegetable soup with a chicken broth or butternut squash soup and treat your taste buds to a feast.
