4 Fitness Tips for Gamers

11/12/2017 by Adam

We live in a society where stereotyping is more common than it should be, so gamers are often seen as mostly ignorant towards their physical conditioning. Of course, that’s not really true and there are a lot of gamers out there who are also fitness and sports enthusiasts. A lot of people assume that the two cannot possibly go together, but there are people out there who know how to add mods to minecraft server and at the same time, enjoy getting their sweat on at the gym. However, it cannot be denied that long gaming sessions can at times get in the way of staying fit. To help gamers strike that balance, here are four tips that should help you become a living example of the fit gamer.

Avoid Marathon Gaming Sessions

It’s hard to stop once you start doing something that you enjoy so much, but you have to stop and take breaks in between if you know that a particular session is turning out to be way too long. You can plan when to have your breaks; for example, after purchasing some diablo 2 items for the gameplay, take a break before getting back into the game. Drink water and take breaks that last at least 15 – 30 minutes. Also, put in a work out session in one of those breaks. It can be something as simple as a 20-minute walk or as intense as a few sets of HIIT; it’s up to you. Use the other breaks to eat your meals and complete any other work that you might have pending. Wanting to decrease your screen time so you’re able to use it for other reasons? If LoL is one game that eats away at your time, look into unrankedlolaccounts.com.

Motivate Yourself with Exercise

Make it a habit to do 10 pushups/10 curls/10 pull-ups/10 burpees whenever you get stuck or die too many times inside the game. Just choose any one exercise each time as both punishment and motivation. This is a great technique to incorporate fitness into your lifestyle without invoking any major changes right away.

Reward Yourself with Gaming Time

This one is a tough thing to do, but if you have the necessary self-control, it can do wonders for your fitness level. The idea is to restrict yourself from gaming until and unless you have finished your workout session. This way, your mind will begin to see your gaming time as a reward, therefore making it even more enjoyable. Once they have completed their session or activities, League of Legends players might reward themselves by purchasing ranked lol accounts and playing for an hour or so for example. When practiced for a long time, you might not even enjoy gaming as much if you don’t complete your session at the gym or home first, which could be quite beneficial.

Build a Home Gym

By having a small gym set up at home, you won’t have to waste time commuting to and from a gym and that’s almost always a bonus. Additionally, you will find it very useful if you try to apply some of the tips mentioned above. Even if you don’t have enough space to accommodate an entire gym, invest in some free weights, curling bars, a bench, and a pull-up bar.

If you are reading these tips, then you are probably pretty serious about your games, so if you want to build a career around video games, check out Job Descriptions where they explain how you can do exactly that. Gaming isn’t really different from any other hobby, so staying fit and gaming need not be two contrasting concepts at all. It’s all about the mindset really, and as long as you are willing to do both, the tips here will keep you as fit as anybody.
