How to Keep Your Clients Happy as a Personal Trainer

20/07/2021 by Adam

If you’re a personal trainer, you’ll know just how vitally important the client relationship is. You’re not just a regular entrepreneur running a business; you’re all that and more because you work so closely with each and every client. They rely on you for their health needs and to help them reach their health goals. So how can you keep them happy and keep them loyal to you and your services? That’s what we’re going to talk about today, so read on to find out more.

Motivate with Fresh Challenges

First of all, you’ll have to think about what you can do to motivate your clients better. If you allow them to lose their motivation for getting fit, you’ve done your job wrong. It’s up to you to find new ways to motivate them and to find fresh challenges that work for them. It certainly can be done, but you’ll need to get creative and be unafraid to do new things.

Offer Flexibility

These days, lots of your clients will be busy and they might not be able to find time in their schedule to come to you. That’s why you should offer them that extra flexibility when they need it. That could mean offering sessions at different times, or it might be a case of offering remote online workout sessions at times too. There are lots of options these days.

Create a Booking System That Works for Them

Having a booking system in place that works for your clients is also something that’s really important. You need to make it easy for them to book sessions, and easy for you to keep on top of them. A digital solution such as the one offered by Coach Calendar might be exactly what you’re looking for. It’ll help you and all of your clients at the same time.

Make the Experience Personal Rather Than Detached

The experience is one that should be personal rather than detached. It shouldn’t be like just going to the gym for them; it needs to be more than that. Make personal connections and build relationships that clients enjoy maintaining. If you can do that, they’ll be much more likely to keep coming back and to stay loyal to your services.

Celebrate Their Successes with Them

When your client does well and reaches a goal, you should be there to celebrate it with them. This is another way of ensuring you’re invested in their goals and that they feel that you’re on the journey with them. And, after all, their successes on their fitness journey are your successes as well, so it makes sense to mark and celebrate them in some way.

As a personal trainer, it’s your duty to help your clients reach their goals. And if you’re not doing all of the things discussed above, you won’t be able to do that. Make sure you tick every box and do what you can to show your clients that they’re a genuine priority for you.
